Municipalities / Government Organizations
Waste Reduction Week in Canada works with all parts of society to make a difference in the amount of waste that is produced across Canada. With the help of promotional and resource materials, facts and statistics on current wasteful practices and activities, we hope to encourage and engage you in solutions for waste-free living.
All levels of government from all over Canada are leading their communities by example. In particular, municipalities dedicated to waste reduction and environmental sustainability through their own operations are in a much better position to educate and encourage their residents and businesses to practice the 3Rs everyday.
The Waste Reduction Week in Canada Municipal Kit and Poster are a great starting point for any local government officer, educator or decision-maker who wants their community to reduce the amount of waste they are producing as well as providing employees themselves with valuable information.
If your Municipality or Government Organization wishes to participate in Waste Reduction Week in Canada please check out the "Get Involved" page. Submitting your events will give us an opportunity to learn how everyone plans to celebrate Waste Reduction Week throughout the nation. Even if your Organization doesn't have special activities planned please get involved to give friendly support by promoting awareness.
Get involved to show Canada, and the world, that you are part of the waste reduction solution!
